What is Localgiving.com? • A not-for-profit website owned equally by the Community Foundation Networkand the Ardbrack Foundation. • Mission: To provide local charities and community groups with the technology to raise money, awareness and support online. • Webpages and web tools necessary to; • Reduce dependency on grants • Provide new sources of funding and support • Engage with their local community

How does it work? • To register with Localgiving.com, you will need to be invited by your local Community Foundation. • Cost • Free 3 month trial with no obligation to continue • After this period, there will be a £60 annual fee, plus VAT (£12) • Works out at £6 per month, which is less than £1.50 per week • The average donation on Localgiving.com is currently £34. Therefore, 2 average donations plus Gift Aid will cover your annual subscription with a £13 profit.
How is a donation distributed? • Fees: • 2% for the average credit or debit card fee (1.4% + 20p) • 3% to the local Community Foundation • 3% to Localgiving.com £30 DONATION EXAMPLE WITH GIFT AID: Donation £30.00 - 2% average card fee £ .60 + 25% Gift aid £ 7.50 - 6% CF/LG fees £ 2.24 (this is split between CF and LG) = £34.66 to the Charity or Community Group
