Information • Type I writing – Do Nows - write 5 lines - no right or wrong answers • Remember to turn in your contracts - parent signatures required - Due Tuesday, September 4
Daily Learning Goals • Located on the side Board - Your class is SS200 - review the daily goals • At the end of each class review the goals and think about your ability to meet those goals - were you successful? - do you need more work on the concepts?
Current Events • Syrian violence spreads into Lebanon - children armed to protect country • Venezuelan Oil Refinery explosion - What does this mean to the world?

Learning Styles • Using a computer - go to: https://www.iusb.edu/tutoring/barsch.php • Determine your learning style - take the test, record the numbers for each category on a piece of paper - return computer • Review the learning style with the group - read about the style - as a group develop a learning plan - write your plan on the paper
Learning Walk • Review the other learning styles - look at the different ways to study - What is similar, what is different? • Focus on the learning style that is your “secondary” - how could you develop a plan that includes aspects of both?
Reflection - TOTD • Which learning style is your primary way of learning? • Which learning style is your secondary preference? • Based on this information, how should you study, take notes, and complete assignments? • What have you learned from today’s lesson?
