TCNY 3Keep Your Heart Healthy Why it’s important: Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death among New Yorkers. Healthier levels of blood pressure and cholesterol are associated with reduced risks of heart attacks and strokes. Eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly, and maintaining a healthy weight are all help to keep blood pressure and cholesterol at healthy levels.
