Celebration South Texas Educational Technologies was one of the few winners in the region of the 2012- 2013 3E’s Grant awarded by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
What is the 3E’s Grant? The 3E’s Grant Program was initiated by the 81st Texas Legislature to provide funding to schools and organizations that promote better childhood health and nutrition programs in the fight against obesity. The objective of the program is to increase awareness of the importance of good nutrition, especially for children, and to encourage children’s health and well being through education, exercise, and eating right (3E’s).
Our Winning Proposal Includes: Exercising Kids will earn KidsGrow Bucks • Kids participate in physical fitness activities. • Jumping Rope • Running / Walking • Ball Games • Sit up / Push ups

KidsGrow Farmers Market Kids will use their KidsGrow bucks to purchase healthy foods at the KidsGrow Farmers Market.
When is the KidsGrow Farmers Market taking place? The bi-annual KidsGrow Farmers Market will travel to each of our three campuses and deliver healthy fruits, nuts, and vegetable choices to developing minds and bodies on the following dates: H1 McAllen– Nov. 29, 2012 & March 21, 2013 H2 Weslaco– Nov. 28, 2012 & March 20, 2013 H3 Harlingen – Nov 27, 2012 & March 19, 2013
Project Benefits The project will reap stronger and more physically fit bodies and will also inspire students to try new foods. Will educate kids in making healthy food choices. The process reinforces critical thinking and basic skills associated with math, reading, science, and good citizenship.
