Federally funded and mandated to provide workforce services • Not the “Unemployment Benefits Office”, rather the “Job Center” • Business driven – our objective is to follow the lead of businesses because that’s where the jobs are • Match employers with skilled workforce • Provide resources for up-skilling, customized training • Place job seekers (unemployed or underemployed) into long-sustaining, higher paying jobs • Influence the next generation of workers with insight from the business community

Our Job as Career and Education experts is to serve as a liaison to middle and high-school students, parents, and educators, about career and post-secondary pathways. • We work daily with students to connect them with HB5 endorsement tracks, Career & Technical Education options, GED options, alternative schools, and post-secondary education as appropriate to their needs and aspirations.
Our Job as Career and Education experts is to serve as a liaison to middle and high-school students, parents, and educators, about career and post-secondary pathways. • We work daily with students to connect them with HB5 endorsement tracks, Career & Technical Education options, GED options, alternative schools, and post-secondary education as appropriate to their needs and aspirations. • We collaborate with ISDs to share High-Growth High-Demand occupations and labor market information to provide feedback to the educators on curriculum offerings and development.
Senate Bill 2015 Mandates that we work together to provide high-school students with info about: career and technical educational partnership opportunities, professional development opportunities for teachers and learning opportunities for students via industry mentorships, internships, summer and after-school programs, and career-based student leadership opportunities.
