Summary of the CLOUD Common Fund status • Common Fund balance at end of 2011: - 381 kEuro • Common Fund in 2012: • Projected expenditures: ~390 kEuro • Projected contributions: 370 kEuro • Year-end negative balance: ~400 kEuro (= ~500 kCHF). • CLOUD’s Common Fund debt to CERN is projected to be paid by 2015. 1st FRC meeting, Antti Onnela, CERN-PH-DT

Proposal for 2012 cost sharing The CLOUD Financial Review Committee is requested to approve in its 25 May 2012 meeting the following cost sharing for 2012, for funding the CLOUD Maintenance & Operation Common Fund (CERN team account T299584) by a total of 370’000 Euro: • Contribution of Category 1 partners: 50’000 Euro Category 1 partners : • CERN • Helsinki Institute of Physics • Karlsruhe Institute of Technology • Goethe-University Frankfurt (exempted until 2013) • PSI (exempted until 2015) • Contribution of Category 2 partners: 20’000 Euro Category 2 partners : • University of Innsbruck • University of Vienna (requested only 10 kEuro in 2012) • Finnish Meteorological Institute • University of Eastern Finland • University of Lisbon and University of Beira Interior (requested no payment in 2012) • University of Stockholm • University of Leeds • University of Manchester • California Institute of Technology • Carnegie Mellon University • Aerodyne Research Inc. • IfTLeipzig (exempted until 2013) 1st FRC meeting, Antti Onnela, CERN-PH-DT
