Active Screening in Clinic • Encourage ALL patients and families to do hand hygiene. • Ask if patient has fever; new onset of cough; shortness of breath; diarrhea; new rash; exposure to chickenpox, measles or shingles. • If yes to any of these, separate from other patients in the clinic and place in a private room. • If the patient has upper respiratory tract symptoms, ask them (and the family) to do hand hygiene and place a mask on the patient.
