  1. PreAP/GT Summer Reading: Hound of the Baskervilles Or Murder on the Orient Express You should already have read one of these. The major test will be Monday, September 20. If you have not read one of these books, you have between now and September 20 to do so. On that date you will take one of these tests. NO EXCUSES, POSTPONEMENT, OR NEGOTIATIONS

  3. 1. Follow all school and classroom rules and procedures at all times.

  4. 2. Be in your seat before the bell rings with ALL NECESSARY SUPPLIES. Anything else will earn you a “TARDY.”

  5. 3. Keep hands, feet, and any other objects to yourself.

  6. 4. Raise your hand to speak or to leave your seat.

  7. 5. Treat everyone in the classroom with respect – your classmates AND your teacher.

  8. PROCEDURES

  9. 1. Arrive in the classroom with your English binder containing your spiral, pens, pencils, dividers, and plenty of notebook paper.

  10. 2. You have been given a numbered seating assignment. Be in your assigned seat working on the warm-up and/or copying assignments WHEN THE BELL RINGS. YOU HAVE CHOSEN DETENTION IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THIS PROCEDURE.

  11. 3. Do not talk when the teacher is talking – See Rule #5.

  12. 4. Bathroom passes will be issued the last 10 minutes of class. Students who have physician-documented “bathroom health issues” on file with the nurse will be exempted from this.

  13. 5 . No gum or food in the classroom. YOU HAVE CHOSEN DETENTION IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THIS PROCEDURE.

  14. 6. Follow instructions the first time they are given.

  15. 7. The class is not dismissed by the bell. Students will be dismissed row-by-row only after the classroom has been checked for clean floors, accounting for all class set materials, etc. Do not leave your seats automatically when the bell rings.
