Crustaceans • Simplest onesresemble the annelid ancestors in having pairs of similar appendages along most of their body. • Complex ones have unspecialized appendages evolved into many diverse structures. • Claws of lobsters & crabs-used to collect food, intimidate other animals & sometimes dig burrow. • Feathery appendages comb microscopic bits of food from the water.
