A Teen’s Guide to Music on the Web Emily Knickle
Introduction I’m Emily Knickle, I’m 16 years old and I love music. I’ve always loved music, but my taste in music has honestly changed so much over the past few years. There was a time when I loved rap and hip-hop, and hated emotional music. I still like a bit of hip-hop and rap but I mostly like lyrical/contemporary, which is the kind of music I used to despise. I want to eventually start dance and dance only contemporary, which is something you would of never caught me doing a few years ago.
My Favorite Artists/Groups-Ed Sheeran One of my favorite artists are Ed Sheeran. I love his style of music, he’s kind of a Bruno Mars, his style of music has the same idea. I love how he is a one man band pretty much. He plays guitar and sings and that’s all that is in his music, no background band. My favorite song by him is “Drunk”. -Ed Sheeran - Drunk [Official Video] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2fOum_KWQU -Ed Sheeran feat. Passenger No Diggity- Thrift Shop http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2K_7-MHt3k -Ed Sheeran - Skinny love (lyrics) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tg5zqFZ_Dj8
My Favorite Artists/Groups-Daughter I also like Daughter. Their lyrics are very emotional, and they have amazing music. Their style of music is lyrical. My favorite song by them is “Medicine” or “Candles”. -Daughter - Medicine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrulQAZq7Y8 -DAUGHTER - CANDLES - MUSIC VIDEO http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKYcXuUgfzM -Daughter - "Run" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psiILfa-G1c
My Favorite Artists/Groups -Miley Cyrus I love Miley Cyrus, I love the way she expresses herself. I like how she’s not afraid of what other people think of her style or music, she basically doesn’t have a care in the world. Her style of music is pop or hip-hop. My favorite song by her is “We Can’t Stop”. -Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop (OFFICIAL LYRICS) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cd9gJ-uxaYg -Miley Cyrus Finally Speaks Out About VMA Performance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HijhL302nA -Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball [Official Video] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StFeOz901p8

Digital Recorder vs. Music Player Most digital recorders can hold 5000 hours of recording time but it all depends on the quality of the recording, the higher the quality, the less hours it will hold. Digital recorders can range from 50 to 500 dollars. A music player, such as an iPod or an MP3 player, they can hold up to as little as 2000 songs, and it doesn’t matter the quality, they can be bad quality or amazing quality, you are still going to get at least 2000 songs, depending on the GB, 8 GB is 2000 songs, 16 GB is 400 songs, etc. An iPod can cost up to 500 dollars as well. Depending on which iPod generation, model, and number of GB.
Summary I didn’t really learn much since I have been using all of these things for years, I did learn that not just YouTube can be used for looking up cultural music, there are other sites as well. I enjoyed this assignment, I like using PowerPoint and learning more about music.
