Moody Facts • Majority of the students come to school by way of Specialty Center buses • 6 Regular Ed buses to school • 3 Exceptional Ed buses • 27 buses transporting students home in the afternoon • Non Transportation Zone – includes neighborhood adjacent to the school
IB Program • All students in the program must complete a Pupil Transportation Student Registration Form • Due no later than the last day of this school year • School bus information will be mailed to your home at the end of August
Bus Information • Students residing in the Moody School Boundary that are not IB students will receive their bus information from the school • Usually distributed during Fee Night • Exceptional Education students will be notified by mail
Policy • P6-10-001 Nontransportation Zones • Nontransportation zones shall be established in such a way that elementary school pupils will not be required to walk in excess of approximately three-tenths of a mile each way and no middle or high school pupil will be required to walk in excess of approximately one-half mile each way. School bus transportation is not provided students living in "nontransportation zones" except in cases of undue safety hazards or disabilities on the part of individual students.
Policy • P6-05-007 Pupil Transportation • Riding a school bus is a privilege. Students who violate the Code of Student Conduct and designated bus rules on the school bus may have the privilege of riding revoked for a specified time or permanently.

Transfer Hubs • Transportation provided for students attending a Specialty Center or program residing outside of their home school attendance boundary. • 4 Transfer Hubs • Fairfield Middle • Virginia Randolph • Deep Run High • Freeman High
Parent Drop Off • Students being dropped off at the Transfer Hubs in the morning must arrive no later than 7:40 AM. • Follow direction of the Hub Coordinator. • The school building at the Transfer Hub is not open for student access. • Follow any signage at the school for Transfer Hub parent drop offs.
The Pupil Transportation • Department continues to make improvements allowing your child to start off each school day with a positive experience while riding the school bus. • Your children’s safety is our business. • We will be in the hallway if you would like to stop by and visit our table.
