Diagnosis Not always obvious
3 criteria Sudden onset and Rapid progression Life-threatening ABC Skin and/or Mucosal changes
Remember Skin or mucosal changes alone are not a sign
Remember Gastrointestinal symptoms
Breathing problems Shortness of breath • Increased respiratory rate
Circulation Problems Pale, Clammy • Hypotension, Tachycardia
DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS Non-Life-threatening conditions
DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS • Idiopathic (non-allergic) • urticariaor angioedema Non-Life-threatening conditions Breath-holding episode in a child
