WHO CANNOT ENTER ITALY You cannot enter the Italian State territory if you have been: • Expelled and have left Italy for less than 10years-unless diversely stated- and at all events for a period not shorter than 5 years. • Notified as unwanted or dangerous person according to the International Agreements; • Judged as threatful for the public order, for the Country security or for one among the Schengen Agreements Countries ; • Charged for drug-dealing; sex crimes; aiding and abeiting the clandestine immigration; exploitation of prostitution and of minors. Continuing: Subsistence ACCOMPANYING FAMILY AND FAMILY REUNION Subsistence and a suitable accomodation are on the worker’s charge. • If you own an Italian pass or a stay permit you can ask the entrance for “accompanying family” or “family reunion” providing that you show evidence to have: • A suitable home to live in with your relatives, according to the Italian law. • A minimum income of 5’061.04€ for the year 2007 for one relative; 10’123.36 € for two up to three relatives; 15’185.04 € for four and more relatives.Iffamily reunion is required for more than a minor child, must show evidence of an income double than the annual allowance. 19. PASS for ADOPTION Enables to adopt a foreign minor for a permanent stay. Requirements: • Named Authorization issued by the International Adoptions Committee • Declaration of Adoption Suitability issued by the Italian Juvenile Court to which the petitioners belong to. • Adoption measure or pre-adoptive custody issued by the foreign Authority in conformity with the local laws; • A Foreigner Country Law comformity’s declaration issued by the Italian Consular Authorithy having jurisdiction . The adopted under-age, once arrived in Italy, acquires authomatically the Italian citizenship. BACK

20. PASS for BUSINESS ALLOWS TO ENTER FOR NEGOTIATIONS. Requirements: • Statement of the “entrepeneur” ’s status of the petitioner; • the business grounds of the journey ; • the real existence of the Italian entrepeneur who applies on alien’s behalf for the pass issueing, • suitable subsistence. Pass issue will be faster if the foreign ENTREPENEUR has a “Declaration of invitation ” made by a regularly registered firm in Italy. Business pass can also be issued for the companions, provided that the business’ aims could be certificated. PASS for MEDICAL TREATMENTS Enables to have medical treatments if you need them in the Italian hospitals or clinical surgery IT DOESN’T ALLOW TO WORK Requirements: • Declaration issued by the Italian Hospital or clinic selected stating the treatments you need, the starting-date and the duration of it; • Certification of insurance policy , calculated on the total medical expenses. • Certification of avalaibility of board and lodging for the companion. The pass for medical treatment can be issued also for the alien’s companion, provided that there are proper means of subsistence. The companion of those minors suffering from psyco-phyisical diseases, can have a “minors-assistance”- stay permit , which enables to work, but is not convertible into an “employment stay permit” BACK

22. DIPLOMATIC PASS • Diplomatic passport enabling the diplomatic mission c/o your own Country, Italy and the Holy See. Diplomatic pass for accrediting or notification allows you to enter Italy if you own a: Petitions must be issued through the Diplomatic office, with a verbal note enclosed, and the pass’ issueing will always be dependent on the previuos permit issued by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Ceremonial Act. 30. PASS FOR CHOICE of RESIDENCE It enables to settle down in Italy if you have got enough means of subsistence to allow you not to work. Requirements: • Availability of a home to choose as residence; • independent and large economic resources given for sure in the future(such as life annualities, real estates, other incomes by different trading activities..etc. ). PASS FOR FAMILY REUNION Enables to rejoin your relatives if they are regularly resident in Italy. • Spouse ; • dependant minor children, or also adults unable to work; • dependant parents with a certification of their hillness; • children in adoption to an Italian couple It can be required for these relatives: • An EC Stay permit (ex residence card)To have already the residence card or pass for at least one year for employment / self employment/asilum/study or religious grounds; • to have a proper home; • annual income of about 4.962,36 €in the 2006 for one relative;of 9.924,72 € for two three relatives, of 14.887,08 € for four and more relatives. PASS FOR AIRPORT-TRANSIT Permits to transit those countries proved to be on the way of your businesses, and it is issued at the only condition that you are allowed to enter the final destination Country Pass issueing depends on: • The existence of the minimum requirements - in general, for the issueing of a short lenght pass such as those for tourism • the foreigner who has got a visa for the final destination Country. PASS FOR TRANSPORTATION Permits entering the territory if you have to come for short periods only for trading and transportation of people or goods (truck haulage; charter flights crews) Requirements: • A certification of the occupational conditions of the applicants • a certification about the kind of work the petitioner is going to attend during the stay. PASS FOR TOURISM It’s a permit to travel for touristic purposes.(max.lenght 90days) • Enough subsistence money; • a return ticket ( also a booking receipt) otherwise the availabilty of own transportation; • a suitable accomodation (hotel reservation;certification of hospitality) Requirements If the foreigner has been invited by a citizen regularly resident in Italy , a declaration of invitation is needed, proving the existence of subsistence, on the contrary, the declaration must enclose a deposit’s receipt c/o an Italian bank for the subsistence amount required, issued by the host in favour of the foreign applicant, For those minors invited according to umanitarian or touristic agreements, such as those approved by the “Guardianship of foreign minors Committe” is needed: “a) The assent to espatriation given by the minor’s guardian or by the parental authority; b) a written authorization issued by the same Committee. PASS FOR WORKING-HOLIDAYS Allows entering Italy if you belong to one of those Countries with which Italy agreed upon (art.27 T.U) The pass has a max lenght of two years.For the foreign sportsmen the working permit can be substitued by a Coni named consent declaration.(art.40 comma 16) Pass issueing requirements are according to the International Agreement in the matter, considering the existence of proper means of subsistence. 37. WHAT TO DO ON ARRIVAL. If you are holder of a Familiar grounds Visa or a First Entry Employment Visa you must go, on your arrival, to the Immigrants Counter(Sportello Unico) within 8 days in order to: • sign the contract of employment (in case you get a job ); • to request the working permit; • apply for the stay permit; • to get a fiscal code. 1 If you own an Entry Visa for the enlisted grounds: Business, Medical treatments; Sports Competition, Mission, Umanitharian, Political Asylum , Minors-Assistance, Justice, Sateless Condition, Juvanile integration, Ivitation. 2 • On your arrival,within 8 days, you must apply to the Police Headquarters (QUESTURA) in order to: • request your stay permit: • to get your fiscal code. 38. WHAT TO DO ON ARRIVAL. If you own an Entry Visa for the enlisted grounds: Religious, Residence of choice, Sudy, Working-holidays, Professional training; Waiting for recovering the citizenship, Self-made job; Stay for job according to art.27. 3 On your arrival in Italy -within 8 days - you must apply to the PATRONATO- INAC COUNTER otherwise to the Post office in order to:REQUEST THE STAY PERMIT 4 Minors holders of a Visa for adoption or granted custody don’t have to request any stay permit. EMPLOYMENT PURPOSES RESIDENCE PERMIT both for temporary or no- time- limits jobs. it is issued only after the signature of an employment agreement between an italian or foreign employer who lives regularly in Italy and an alien citizen applying for a job. • PASS DURATION : • 1 YEAR FOR A TEMPORARY JOB; • 2 YEARS FOR A NO-TIME-LIMITS JOB. RESIDENCE PERMIT for INDEPENDENT WORK If you wanto to start a self made job you are requested to have moral and professional requirements as for any other italian citizen according to the ruling laws. within 8 days from your arrival in Italy you must apply to the Police Headquarters(Questura) with the following documents : • n° 4 passport format photographs; • € 14,62 revenue stamp; • passport or equally valid document, entry visa and its photocopies; • VAT CODE; • Trading licence and enrolment to the professional boards if required; • lodging arragements and an overall income statements (higher than the minimum required fromthe law due to the exemption of the Health tax • € 8.400,00). • a stated overall yearly income equal to the social allowance (€ 4.962,36) Duration: two years CONVERSION: During the same period you can also see through a subordinate job with no need to change your residence permit. SEASONAL WORK RESIDENCE PERMIT THIS TYPE OF PERMIT CAN BE ISSUED ONLY IN PRESENCE OF A NAMED REQUEST BY: • an Italian or regularly resident in Italy foreign Employer • an Association on behalf of their members. • VALIDITY: • MIN.20 DAYS • MAX.6 or 9 months depending on the terms of the seasonal work TRIENNAL RESIDENCE PERMIT it is issued to the foreigner who shows to have come to Italy at least for 2 continuous years to see through a seasonal work. it must be required by the employer. CONVERSION: It is possible to convert the seasonl work residence permit into an employement (long or short term ) residence permit in case of occurring circustamces. BACK

FAMILY REUNION RESIDENCE PERMIT Those aliens who have entered Italy with a family reunion Visa ,must submit a residence permit application to the Sportello Unico within 8 working days togheter with the passport copy bearing the entry Visa, 4 passport-size photos and a 14.62 €. revenue stamp. A residence card is issued in case of reunion with an italian or an European State’s citizen, • It enables to the enlisted opportunities: • health services admittance ; • enroling to training/study classes • enrolemento to the Employement Office • to work as employee or as self-made worker, subject to adequate permit conversion, having the requirements needed. PERMIT RENEWAL: APPLICATION must be submitted together with the applicant relative’s request plus a family situation certificate. PERMIT CONVERSION: In case of an employement agreement it is necessary to convert the “family reunion residence permit” into an “employement purposes” one, even though still valid. 50. RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR STUDY REASONS The issuing modality are different according to the type of the course undertaken in Italy. • For the issuing are needed, in addition to basic documents, also: • an University or School enrolement statement plus nr.2 two photocopies of it; • An original plus nr.2 Photocopies of the documentation certifying the availability of adequate financial resources for the validity period of the residency permit. • an Health Insurance policy valid for all the Italian territory.. VALIDITY : max. 1 year. the renewal will be valid for all the lenght of the courses. Employment: this kind of permit enables also to work as employee for a time not exceeding the 20hours per week , also within 52 weeks, up to a max of 1040 hours per year. • CONVERSION: • It is possibile to convert the permit - prior to expiry date, within the quotas’ limit, and during your stay in Italy into : • employment permit submitting the residence agreement; • self made employment permit, submitting the documents needed.
