  2. I. Profiling by Nazis A. Profiling was used to categorize inmates by looks. B. Example: Intellectuals always wore glasses according to the Nazis. II. Prominenten – A. Definition: people who lived for years in the camps without losing their humanity. B. Told new arrivals that they had to put on false appearances because people who looked weak would be killed.

  3. III. Gave the following advice to new arrivals to ensure survival: A. Don’t cry. B. Follow orders quickly. C. Don’t call attention to yourself. D. Try to look healthier than you feel. E. Find someone who can help you. F. Become callous. G. Have a reason for living.
