Objectives • Describe how to design a VoIP Gateway using traffic engineering theory • Define important elements of gateway and gatekeeper design in a H.323 network. • Identify appropriate sizes for gateways and gatekeepers. • Define traffic engineering. • List the elements of traffic engineering • Use Erlangs to determine the trunking requirements of a VoIP Network. • Use trunk sizing in traffic engineering requirements. • Define zones. • Identify dial-peers within the context of zones. • Define how high-availability is accomplished in a VoIP network scheme.
