Spring Break Essay Mommy and Daddy I just wanted to know if I could go on a trip this spring break. I would like to go to Chicago without you or mommy. Chicago is a big city and there is a lot to do and see. Chicago get a lot of wide and snow. If you don’t mean this is one trip I would like to go on without my family. I am going to be out on my own in the next year or so. I need to see what it is like not having my parents by my side everyday. I am almost an adult you got to let me go.
Questions • How is the cost of the trip associated with the distance of the trip? • On a scale of 0 to 1, how good does the line fit that data? 0= no fit and 1= a perfect fit. It is a perfect fit. • Sketch the least-squares regression line on the scatter plot above and compare it to the line that you guessed. Are they close to the same line? It is about the same.
More Questions • In part 8 you guessed a value for the strength on the fit to your line. Compare it to the value of the correlation coefficient. How close were you? I was a little off. • By looking at the scatter plot and the regression line find a place that is a good buy for the miles traveled. Why do you think the airfare is below the expected value for this destination? The airfare is more.
