  1. KBC 12 2nd crorepati IPS Mohita Sharma doesn't want you to use all lifelines. Here's why Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 got its second crorepati in Mohita Sharma on November 17's episode. Sharma, who is an IPS officer stationed in Jammu and Kashmir, won Rs 1 crore on the show. In an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, Mohita Sharma shared how her participation in KBC 12 was a dream come true for her husband Rushal Garg and how she felt when the host Amitabh Bachchan said the words, 'Ek crore'. No points for guessing, Mohita Sharma was elated after winning the coveted amount on KBC 12. "I was very excited...very happy. I had goosebumps all around when AB sir announced 'Ek crore'. I just couldn't believe this was actually happening. It all looked like a dream," Sharma started off. WINNING KBC WAS MY HUSBAND'S DREAM, SAYS MOHITA When asked for how long she was preparing to be on KBC, Sharma said, "Actually, this was my husband's (Rushal Garg) dream. He had been trying for KBC for 20 years when KBC junior first came. This time he asked me to register on SonyLiv app and I was just lucky enough to get a callback." Since the promo of Sharma winning Rs 1 crore first aired on Sony TV, her phone hasn't stopped buzzing. She, her parents, husband and his parents have been receiving numerous congratulatory calls. Her seniors at the office also congratulated her on the win. Mohita Sharma, who cleared her civil services exam to become an IPS officer was thankful for her preparation, which helped her tackle some of the tough questions on the game show. HOW DID MOHITA SHARMA PREPARE FOR KBC? "While preparing for the civil services, we cover almost all the subjects. I had that foundation with me but before appearing on KBC, when I was quarantined in the hotel for five days, I revised everything. Since I had selected Geography as my topic for Flip The Question, I revised Geography the most," added Sharma. THIS IS THE BEST LIFELINE FOR MOHITA SHARMA Two of Mohita Sharma's lifelines were still unused while she was attempting the Rs 1 crore question. Talking about what was going through her mind at the moment, she said, "Since two of my lifelines were still intact, I thought of using one lifeline for the Rs 1 crore question and the second for the jackpot question. However, AB sir informed me that no matter how many lifelines I have, I won't be able to use it for the Rs 7 crore question. So, I opted for Ask The Expert and at that time I was sure that this I will win. Ask The Expert is the best lifeline of all." The question for Rs 1 crore was: Which of these explosives was first patented in 1898 by German chemist Georg Friedrich Henning and first used in World War II? The correct answer is: RDX

  2. Ask The Expert lifeline helped Sharma win Rs 1 crore but she confessed that she herself didn't know the answer. "I was going in the wrong direction but the expert's advice helped me with the correct answer. In fact, I can say that for the Rs 7 crore question I was going in the right direction. I was confused between two options but I didn't want to take the risk," she added. The question for Rs 7 crore was: Launched in 1817, which of these ships built by the Wadia Group in Bombay is the oldest British warship still afloat? The correct answer is: HMS Trincomalee Mohita Sharma hasn't decided how she will use the winning amount but said that the amount will be used according to her family's wishes. The IPS officer shared a few tips before signing off. She asked aspiring KBC contestants not to give up and keep studying. She also asked not to exhaust all the lifelines too soon.
