Project Conexión Title V program helps eligible institutions of higher education enhance and expand their capacity to serve Hispanic and low-income students by providing funds to improve and strengthen the academic quality, institutional stability, management, and fiscal capabilities of eligible institutions. • 5 year Institutional Grant focused on: • Organizational Development • Transfer, Graduation, and Job Placement • Alumni Affairs • Provide $2.8 million dollars over 5 years • 6 FTEs
Activity 1The Center for Teaching and Learning Focus is on developing resources and opportunities for faculty which span the needs of adjunct, new tenure-track faculty and existing faculty • Development of a Best Practices Course • Graduate coursework • Professional Development workshops • A Mentorship Program • Teaching and Learning Circles • All five components will include training on the assessment of student learning outcomes.
Activity 2Center for Academic Transitions Provide students with a “one-stop shop” to prepare them for the transition into the next phase of their academic journey. • The CAT integrates and consolidates: • Career Services, • Transfer Readiness, • Job Placement Services and • Graduation Advising.
Activity 3Alumni/Advancement Initiative To acquire more external funding which will support College programs and services provided to students and the community. Over the past five years, PAC has obtained over $10 million in Federal and State Funding and $75,000 in donations • Establish the PAC Alumni Association • The PAC Title V Endowment will increase by $1.15 million • Increase the amount of External Funding by $1million
