OMH TAG Approval Process • TAG = Test requirements and Acceptance Group • Technical working group reporting to the OMH Special Interest Group (SIG) • Manages OMH test requirements • Provides an industry forum for discussing OMH testing and acceptance • Accepts OMH devices and networks and authorizes the use of the OMH Logo • Maintains an ecosystem website of accepted OMH devices and networks Qualcomm Proprietary and Confidential MAY CONTAIN U.S. AND INTERNATIONAL EXPORT CONTROLLED INFORMATION
OMH Device Testing Coverage (CDG183) • Published CDG Reference Document • Specifies the TAG test coverage for an OMH device to be accepted • Comprised of industry standard test plans, as well as custom developed plans • Initially very comprehensive • Recent efforts reduce coverage and provide flexibility per supported features Qualcomm Proprietary and Confidential MAY CONTAIN U.S. AND INTERNATIONAL EXPORT CONTROLLED INFORMATION
CDG183 Feature and Function Checklist • OEMs identify which features they support before testing • Features that are not supported don’t need to be tested • Allows flexibility and different “tiers” of functionality • Automation in CDG183 clearly identifies which test cases become unnecessary when the feature is not supported
CDG183 v3.1 Refinements • V3.1 is intended to be a stable, long-term solutions that meets multifaceted and evolving industry needs • Strategically reduce mandatorytesting in key areas: • CCAT, MMS, WAP, OMH Specific • Reductions target non-critical conformance test cases • Breaks CDG183 into two separate spreadsheets • CDG183-A Mandatory • CDG183-B Optional • CDG183-C Sanity + SFN • Provides more flexibility in OMH testing • Low tier devices are appropriately tested • High tier devices have access to additional testing as needed
