Assistive Technology • Assistive Technology can be software or hardware that assists those with learning or physical disabilities. • A good example of this is software that will translate pdf. files into the spoken word. This assists those with reading disabilities such as dyslexia. • Another example is a camera and monitor that enlarge the text so that those who are legally blind might read text as it has been enlarged so they can read without further assistance.
Cyberbullying • Have an “open door policy” so those who are being bullied can express themselves and get assistance if needed. • Make it clear that bullying of any type will not be tolerated. Common respect is the rule. • Have a lesson plan that integrates Cyberbullying and it’s effects to try and prevent these practices in the student body.
