Immigration Laws inTurkey Student Residence Permit ARTICLE 38 1-Foreignerswhointendtopursuefoundation,undergraduate,gradu- ateorpostgraduatestudiesinanestablishmentofhighereducationin Turkeyshallbegrantedastudentresidencepermitwithaoneyearva- lidityandthispermitmaybeextendedthroughoutthecourseofstudy. 2-Foreignerswhowillreceiveeducationinprimary orsecondaryin- stitutionsmaybeissuedastudentresidencepermitwithaoneyearva- lidityandthispermitmaybeextendedthroughoutthecourseofstudy, providedthattheconsentofhisorherparentorlegalguardianisob- tainedandthathisorherexpensesaremetbynaturalorlegalpersons. 3-Thestudentresidencepermitshallnotgrantanyrightforthemother andfatherorotherrelativesofthestudenttoobtainaresidencepermit. 4-Thevalidityofstudentresidencepermitshallnotexceedthedura- tionofeducationperiod,intheeventthattheeducationperiodisless than a year.
