“To create the most cost effective, single banking solution to support multiple products & functionalities on one platform for international, retail & commercial banking operations, offering multiple seamless electronic and mobile banking channels.”
hPLUS Integrated Card Processor - Introduction • A general purpose card message processing engine • Supports a variety of card message formats such as: • ISO 8583 based ATM & Switch networks • Debit & Credit cards • POS • Third party formats(such as NDC+, Deibold and many others) • Enables communication with a variety of host systems • allowing them to perform different types of transactions • Offers an integrated card management system (hICM)
hPLUS Integrated Card Processor - Architecture hCAP TSI CSI HSM hICM : hPLUS Card Application Processor : Transaction Service Interface : Card Service Interface : Host Security Module Service : hPLUS Integrated Card Management System
hPLUS Card Application Processor (hCAP) • Is the core where the critical processing power resides • Is written in JAVA and therefore has the flexibility to run • on cost-effective independent commodity hardware or • can be installed on existing platforms that support JAVA
Service Interfaces • In order to provide transactional and other services, hCAP • defines multiple service interfaces • For each service group, a service interface is provided so • that integration and communication to the new as well • as existing service interfacing is seamless • Examples of a few standard service interfaces are described • below: • TSI (Transaction Service Interface) • CSI (Card Service Interface) • HSM (Host Security Module)
Transaction Service Interfaces (TSI) • Refers to the communication link with the bank’s core • banking system for execution of requested inquiries & • transactions • Also supports other specialized TSI, called eTSI (Extended • Transaction Service Interface) for transactions like • Issuance of Drafts, GSM messaging, Subscription of • services, etc. • The hPLUS implementation of TSI provides further • functionalities such as enhanced security monitoring • through GSM interfaces, Hot Card marking & Limit Control • for ATM cards through internet banking services via any • mobile channel such as web, WAP and PDA or through IVR, • etc.
TSI • Basic services supported: • Balance Enquiry • Cash Withdrawal • Reversal Cash Withdrawal • Cash Deposit • Cheque Deposit • Mini Statement • Fund Transfer to any account (including recharging of • pre-paid cards for service providers) • Utility Bill Payment (other payment systems can be added) • Cheque Book Request • Other functionalities can be added
Card Service Interfaces (CSI) • Allows hCAP to identify the card as well as its associated • accounts • An implementation of CSI helps in communication with • other available card management systems • It defines optional functions like accepting requests such • as card limit extension, Hot Card marking, etc. through • other implemented delivery channels such as IP phones, • mobile banking interfaces (i.e. Web, WAP, PDA, etc.) and • other such interfaces
Host Security Module (HSM) • Is needed in most implementations for proper • authentication and security services • A standard implementation is provided for HSM • equipment currently available
Service Channels • hCAP provides plug-ins for multiple service channels like • ISO 8583 based transaction switches, ATM interfaces • such as NDC+, Deibold, POS Terminal Services, Credit • Card Services (e.g. MasterCard, AMEX, VISA, etc.), Debit • card (e.g. Cirrus, Maestro, PLUS, etc.) services and • others • Due to its flexible architecture, new service channels can • be added rapidly
hPLUS Integrated Card Management System (hICM) • Is a robust implementation of hCAP’s CSI, that provides an • integrated ATM and multiple card management system • In addition to the CSI support, hICM is capable of providing • customized magnetic coded and smart card production • at centralised & remote locations • Enables each branch to immediately issue cards to their • customers while their customers are at the branch • The built in database capabilities eliminates the need • to purchase a commercial database licenses, thereby saving • considerable costs
hICM • Provides a securely managed card production system • using very cost-effective card printers • Standard hICM functionality includes: • Hot card management • PIN printing • PIN mailing • hCIM provides all the enhancement functionality definedin • the CSI interface such as Web, WAP, PDA, Telephone, etc.
Conclusion • Flexible • Seamless Integration • Cost Effective • Easy Maintenance • Expandable Channels
