  2. 索福尼亞 • The destiny of the nations are in God’s hands. When the times comes (the day of YHWH) He will clean a people for Himself.

  3. 索福尼亞 • The day of YHWH is the time of his intervention understood here as “punishment” (1:14-18)

  4. 索福尼亞 • The humbles of the earth are those who belong to the remnant of Israel (2:3;7;9; 3:11-13) • Anawim.. Humble, afflicted, oppressed, those in need

  5. 索福尼亞 • The intervention of the Lord seen as “punishments” should be seen as acts of purification for his people (2:911)

  6. 索福尼亞 • The prophet ends again with the message of hope (3:9-20)
