  3. What is RasterID? RasterID is an image editing software that primarily focusses on image refining of scanned raster drawings and recognizing & indexing Title Block texts within an image. It also has a huge arsenal of tools for color image processing and batch operations.

  6. Challenges in RasterID 3.6 • Software has not been upgraded/developed for years • Not very compatible with the latest OS…resulting in severe installation hazards • The latest versions of DBMS connectivity for indexed output does not work properly

Wish List for RasterID 2018 • Feature wise: • New File Format support: In Future, RasterID is going to support many more Raster Formats in addition to the default formats. • Different annotation objects like Polygon, Polyline, and Bezier Curves etc. would be included eventually • Paint-Brush palette would include both Foreground & Background colors to be marked separately • Rectangular Warping & Image superimposition to be included • A New state-of-the-art Design would be implemented. • It would have the feature to attach various cloud drive(s) for simplifying upload/download to/from the drives and give the software an edge in image transfer through network.

  10. Wish List for RasterID 2018 • RasterID image editing functionalities can be integrated together to form a sellable class library/API. • RasterID API can be attached with CSPanorama as a value-add plug-in. • RasterID OCR capabilities can be used as input for EDA.
