Ci forum Go-see - Thursday 16 May 2013 New Zealand Sugar 60 Colonial Road, Birkenhead Auckland Purpose of the Ci forum To provide a structure and environment that creates an open and valued learning network for New Zealand organisations who are actively involved in continuous improvement activities New Zealand Sugar New Zealand Sugar have been refining sugar on the banks of the Waitamata Harbour since 1884. In that time the Chelsea brand has become a household name in New Zealand and the Chelsea site a well know landmark in Auckland. Since deregulation of the sugar market in the 1980’s Chelsea have had to compete with imports and international competition and have learned that continual improvement is necessary to survive. New Zealand Sugar have been on their TPM journey since 2008 and have recently achieved Level 3 of the 5 Level milestone award. Continuous Improvement at New Zealand Sugar Guest Arrival and Registration Tea and Coffee 8.30 am 9.00 am Presentation on NZ sugar and their TPM programme to date 10.15 am Morning tea and networking Interactive Session – Lessons Learnt, Operator Engagement 10.30 am Finish Site Tour (Optional) Enclosed shoes and long sleeves and pants are required.
