If you do not fill in any of the fields, this list is available for everyone You can make lists that apply to locations, providers, clinics, and disciplines The author is always a manager; sites can add other managers such as HIM and CACs Adding a Category
Items can be added in several ways You can add them individually You can query the system to see what is being used already You can import a list from another site Adding Elements
Adding Through a Query • You can pick a clinic or a provider to search • The computer will find the codes used and automatically add them • The HIM staff should review and remove those with less frequencies –clean up! • Be aware OLD codes that have been inactivated may be included in queries
Importing a List • A list can be installed from another site using the import button • Again, these codes need to be reviewed and cleaned up before using.
Types Pick lists can be made for: ICD-9 codes CPT codes Pick lists can be Associated with other items
The code will come in with its “official” description Many providers would prefer a frequently used narrative or shorter name Rename Function
Pick Lists and Superbills • Create by query • Create from PCC+ forms • Create associations with education, immunizations, etc. • Create special lists for supplies, etc.
ASSOCIATIONS Associations can be made between diagnoses or procedures and other items such as CPT, HCPCS codes and/or education. This allows the provider or nurse to quickly move through documentation because the system will assign the codes and items associated with the event.
