Buses • Night buses cover the period between the close of the Tube and start of daytime buses • Trafalgar Square night bus hub • Stop on request only - indicate your stop clearly to the driver when boarding or alighting
Tramlink • Tramlink trams run in the daytime Monday - Saturday • Every 10 minutes toWimbledon, Elmers End and Beckenham Junction • About every seven minutes to New Addington • Trams run in parts of South London between Wimbledon, Croydon, Beckenham and New Addington • Treated as part of the bus network for fares
Docklands Light Railway • The driverless Docklands Light Railway (DLR) serves parts of East and South East London • Runs from 5:30am to 12:30am Monday to Saturday and from 7am to 11:30pm on Sunday • Beckton, Stratford and London City Airport to the East and North East • Docklands, Greenwichand Lewisham to the South • Connects with the Tube network at Bank and Tower Gateway (Tower Hill) stations and also at Shadwell, Stratford, Bow, Heron Quays, Canning Town and Canary Wharf • Same fares as the Tube
Taxis • London's official taxis, black cabs can be hailed in the street or at designated spots in prominent places • If the yellow TAXI sign at the front is illuminated, the cab is available for hire • Fares are metered, and there is a minimum charge of £2.40 • You can tip taxi drivers, most people round up to the nearest pound • Only taxis (black cabs) can be stopped by customers and can pick up off the street • Minicabs must be booked • Reputable, licensed minicab companies offer a cheaper alternative to the black cab but they are not on a meter • You can text CAB to 60835, and you'll receive two minicab numbers and one taxi number to your mobile phone by text. Your location is plotted using GPS • The text service will cost you 35p per enquiry plus standard text message rate. Roaming rates apply to overseas networks
