THE R.A.F The Luftwaffe • The RAF had more fuel to fly the planes. • What saved us was the fact that we had radar so we had a 25 minute warning for any planes. • The RAF bombed at night which was an advantage because it made the planes more difficult to detect. • The Germans didn’t have as much fuel which meant they didn’t have as much time as the RAF on their bombing runs. • Unfortunately they didn’t have the use of radar. • The Germans bombed in the day time so it was easier for us to shoot the fighter planes down, and then the bomber planes.
