  2. Brainstorming Costs • I thought that the only things that would go into paying for a car would be gas, monthly insurance, maintenance, and the car itself. It turned out that you had to pay way more than that! • You ended up having to pay for oil changes, a license, and even taxes according to where you live.

  3. Expense Description • Total Vehicle Cost: $60,000 • Gas Price: $2.79 • Insurance: $649.77 • License: $51.25 • Taxes: $3,435 • Oil Change: $19.99

  4. Monthly Car Payment/Gas Payment • Total Monthly Payment: $1,295 • Calculations: I = P x R x T I = 60,000 x .059 x 5 = $17,700 17,700 + 60,000 = 77,700 / 60 = $1,295 • Monthly Cost in Gas: $48.52 • Calculations: 400miles / 23mpg = $17.39 $17.39 * $2.79 = $48.52
