Innohome Ltd. was established in 2003 and in that time it has delivered comprehensive builders reports to hundreds of customers. Innohome commits to provide clients with high quality pre-purchase and pre-sale inspections and reports, providing same day services, electronic moisture detection for potential leaky homes. The reports are accurate, unbiased and the inspections carried out in reference with New Zealand Standard NZ4306.2004 Residential Property Inspections. SPECIALIZED SERVICES Non-invasive Moisture Test The non-invasive moisture test requires a mixture of building construction knowledge (old and new), a keen eye for risk areas and use of modern technology and certified training (Trotec T650, Trotec EC60V infrared camera). The combination of these allows Innohome to locate areas of concern without any damage to the building. Non-invasive moisture test meter T650S The T650 is a professional instrument for fast, non-destructive determination of moisture content distributions in areas up to a depth of 4 cm from the surface. As a quality instrument that is "made in Germany" the T650 is impressive in terms of its digital precision without the disadvantage of drift in measured values exhibited by comparable analogue instruments.
Damp and dry wall and floor areas can be detected by permanent real time display of the measured values. In addition, the device is suitable for preliminary inspection of the maturity of building materials in CM measurements. Invasive Moisture Test Invasive moisture testing is required when all non-invasive testing has been completed. This can be achieved by minimum intrusion (drilling a few small holes) and measuring moisture content levels in the defined area (holes can be filled). If data suggests a problem with the owner’s permission surgical removal of interior or exterior location can be achieved. At this stage a report on damage and repair cost can be obtained from Innohome. MMS 2 - Complete Protimeter Moisture Measurement System The moisture you cannot see matters most when cleaning and restoring a property after water damage from storms, floods or fires. From hidden mould to unseen structural damage, undetected moisture damages health and property and its oversight can create liability. That’s why the right moisture meter makes all the difference. The Protimeter MMS2, the latest addition to GE’s Protimeter product line, is a 4-in-1 instrument, ergonomically designed for easy one-handed operation in measuring moisture in materials in buildings and related structures. It can measure surface moisture and moisture below a surface, as well as acting as a hygrometer to measure ambient air humidity.
The addition of an infra-red thermometer allows the difference between dew point and surface temperature to be calculated, as well as a wide range of other important psychometric parameters. The new instrument will help building professionals such as surveyors, inspectors and architects to assess building moisture levels during new build and refurbishing activities and assist in the diagnoses of moisture-related problems in existing buildings. Thermal Graphic Infra-red Camera Test Thermal imaging camera EC60V has a high thermal sensitivity and a high degree of accuracy. It’s image sensor has a detector resolution of up to 160 x 120 measuring spots and a thermal sensitivity of 0.08 ºC which enable to create fully-radiometric thermal images within a temperature range of between -20 °C and +250 °C. A high image repetition frequency guarantees continuous real-time thermal imaging. A variety of integrated measuring functions and the automatic measured value correction function ensure optimum results every single time.
Thermal imaging camera EC60V We use the Trotec EC60V thermal image camera in non-invasive moisture testing. Although this is our most expensive tool, it requires the correct conditions to operate at its optimum. Again combined with construction knowledge (old and new) and a keen eye for risk areas Innohome can locate areas of concern without any damage to the building. Kevin has attained IR Level One certification in the use and science of this technology.
