Scrolling Ticker Text Scrolling Ticker Text Scrolling Ticker Text • Inserting a news scrolling text at the bottom / top of the screen is done like this: What you need is a Text and Crawl In effect. First, add a textbox onto the slide. • Type in the news and information that you want to display to the audience. • Now, move the textbox off the slide so that it can't be seen on the slide itself. • Place the textbox on the bottom left, just beside the edge of the slide. • Click Custom Animation under the Animation Tab. • Select the textbox, then click Add Effect > Entrance > Crawl In. • Set the Direction: "From Bottom" to "From Right". • Now, right click on the effect and select Timing. • Click on the Speed input field and type in "20 seconds". • You can also set a speed of your preference. • Click on the Repeat dropdown field and select "Until End of Slide". • This allows the ticker to scroll forever. Ok to apply the changes. • Note that if you want to do this on multiple slides, add the ticker onto the Slide Master (Click View > Master > Slide Master), instead of the current slide • Great Stuff! Rolling Text Effect This is what a Rolling Text Effect looks like Insert a Text Box Select Center Alignment Select Font, Size, Color etc Type in your Credits Every +- 5 spaces (Press Enter x5 times) Highlight Text Box select Add Effects Select Entrance / Credits Start after previous etc Press Enter a couple of times Send to back of page (Do not make your Text List too long!) THE END Type your title in the Title placeholder text box. Type the first name (and any other relevant information) in the list. Press the Enter key several times before typing the second entry in the list. Repeat for all names in the list. If you wish to add a closing statement following the list of names, such as "The End" or some other closing remark, I found that you need to separate this line of text from the previous line by several more rows, rather than the five that were used to separate the names in the list. This will place the final statement in the center of the slide when the task is complete Your slide will possibly have text boxes on top of each other on your last slide, keep a cool head when you arrange the sequences, order and animation effects! Rather use several different text boxes for The End and other Info! See closing slide of this Lesson as example. PowerPoint Series
