  3. Problems • Poor Working Conditions • Considered “sweatshops” • Losing Use of Hands • Inhaling Chemicals • Poor Pay • Can start at $285 a month • Assuming workers are scheduled 40 hrs a week, workers make $1.78 and hour. • Average is $426 - $455

Improvements • Relocate • Move back to the states • Employ Americans • Restructure Wages • Go from $1.78 to $8.50 • From $285 to $1360 • Improve conditions and create new safety procedures • Because of this rise in pay, profits will take a hit. We will have to raise iPad, iPhone, and iTouch prices. • Based on lower average wage, 50% of 35,000 workers cost $31,150 in labor (in China). Those same 17,500, in America, would make $148,750.
