recognize theM? • Why did you recognize the characters in the previous 3 slides before you recognized most of the other characters? • What makes them so special? • Does quick recognition make it easier for us to identify heroes/leaders/role models? • Does easy recognition make those people heroes/leaders/role models? Why or why not?
Why are these people considered special? • Historically, the people in the previous pictures have been revered/admired/worshipped as heroes....what makes them so special? • What qualities of heroism do they possess? • If a person is considered a hero by some, does that mean everyone has to consider them a hero? Why or why not? Give some examples of this. • Would you consider any of the previous people non-heroes? Why or why not?
Who is your ideal hero? • Using the ideas discussed, create a portrait of your “hero.” • What do you look for in a hero? • Of the characteristics we discussed, what are the 3 most important to you • Provide an example of one living person who you view as a hero and one person from the past (could be from your family or a historical person) and say why you think they are heroes • Finally, how will you aspire to be a hero/leader/role model to someone yourself, one day.
