  1. OUR TOWN Nea Smyrni is a very interesting area and its history begins many years ago. It is a suburb of Athens, its name comes from a city of Asia Minor, called Smyrni. After the Asia Minor catastrophe many people emigrated to Greece and those who were rich built Nea Smyrni. Its construction started in 1926.

  3. Aghia Fotini Aghia Fotini ( Saint Photina) is the most famous church in Nea Smirni. It is the Metropolis ( the central church ) of our municipality.

  4. The Bell Tower of Agia Fotini ( Saint Photina) The construction was funded by the Onasis Institute . It is a detailed copy of the original Bell Tower of Agia Fotini’s church in Smyrni.

  5. Iosifoglio Orphanage The Iosifoglio Orphanage was constructed in 1929 and it’s still preserved.

  6. Estia of Nea Smirni Estia of Nea Smirni was built in 1930 and it is the spiritual and cultural center of our town.

  7. Grove (Alsos) of Nea Smirni It is a “green island” in the center of our city, where you can run or relax or attend local cultural events, which include traditional dances, music and plays.

  9. PANIONIOS ( PANIONIAN) GYMNASTIC CLUB The PANIONIOS Gymnastic Club was founded in 1890.

  11. Nea Smyrnis’ Square is the place where most residents choose to go to entertain themselves. It’s quite spacious and has a lot of cafeterias and restaurants.
