  3. Patient Paul story I am a media professional and a true blue sportsman. Basketball, badminton, football, running marathons are not merely hobbies but the core of my lifestyle. Playing my favourite sports had been a regular practice until an injury in my shoulder happened. My shoulder was dislocated while playing basketball. Instead of seeing a doctor I fixed it myself. I went for physiotherapy but was sceptical about surgery assuming that I won’t be able to play after it. But I had unbearable pain and had to discontinue playing. After 7 months when I resumed basketball I dislocated my shoulder again. That’s when I realised that I need to get it fixed by an expert. I then visited Dr. Manu Bora for the same. He gave me certain exercises to do at home along with few antibiotics and I was sorted. Honestly the process that I was petrified of Dr. Bora made it a cake walk for me. All I did was the exercises suggested by him and in a week the pain had gone and I could stretch and raise my arm upright. Within 2 weeks my sutures were removed too after which my arm movement became easier like before. The next few weeks, under his supervision I exercised that led to more improvement. Just in 2 months I was fit enough to play contact sports like basketball, football etc. I got back to my regular routine without any discomfort even before I could realise. However, the bigger joy was that I could run a 15k marathon in such a short span and was geared up to hit the football ground too. I had been following his exercises that not only speeded up my recovery but also strengthened my arms more making them fitter for future games.
