Countries • The African Savannah covers countries such as, Central African Republic, Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia,, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, and South Africa.
Abiotic Factors • Fires • From lightning • Due to lack of precpitation in dry areas
Rainfall • Wet and Dry • 10 to 30 inches a year • Similar to northern united states with a wet and dry season • Lots of rain in the summer and dry in the winter
Temperature • Temperature is between 75 and 80degrees farenheit • Average temperature is 78 degrees farenheit
Seasonal Changes • Summer: Monsoonal Season (lots of rain) • Winter: very dry • Not much rain

African Wild Dog • Species: Lyconpictus • Wild dogs have developed incredible speed and endurance for attacking prey • Wild dogs have specialized larger ears that increase their hearing ability to hunt prey as well as ritual ceremonies. • Hunt in packs which allows them to capture larger prey
African Lion • Species: Panteraleo • Apex predator • Golden brown fir helps them blend in with grasslands • Acute sense of smell to assist in hunting • Live in large groups for protections and allows them to hunt larger prey
