3. Profile of Hardware Team A) Name of Team: Hardware Group No. 23 B) Objectives of the Team: Manage Data Center & (All Computers, Network & its peripherals) of the Company. C) Our existence: Our existence because, Hardware Section plays an important role to bring new technologies in an organization which helps our company to get all computerized work. 2. Hardware Section plays an multiple role to manage secured Network for providing real time information to the Company. D) Responsibilities of the Team: Understand basic concept & structure of computer hardware & networking Identify the existing configuration of the computers and peripherals & Upgrading same as and when required Integrate the PCs into Local Area Network & re-install operating systems and various shipboard applications. Perform routine maintenance & upgrades Manage data backup & restore operations on server and update anti-virus software and set schedules  Installation of service packs, applications such as MS Office, MS Outlook, Anti-virus software etc. Trouble shooting of Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Servers, Windows 8 & MS Office Provide training to SFO’s about latest tools of Hardware and Networking. Installations of Managed Switch Networking & apply policies for smooth & fast network. Managed Internet Tools for providing limitied / priority wise bandwidth to the users. Managed MPLS VPN network for online working. Managed Servers & its interlink pheripherals for smooth operations. Managed Computer stock for upgradations of computer pheripherals. Managed the survillence devices & there planning for there upgradations.

6. Point No.1:- (Prepared Annual Increment) Done by Mr. Deepak Kumar We have successfully prepared Annual Increments for all stations & Employee of Units. MD Sir was decided we will give financial Increment with APR’13 salary. MD Sir was decided a set amount for Increments & we have prepared increments according to that budget. 1. MWA2. Half Increments3. UP Region Increments relaesed according to MWA4. Delhi Region Increments released according to MWA5. CCU/NWT/NWC released according to there Budget.Commercial Benefits to the Company:We have saved about 322 Man hrs which cost about Rs.50,000/- Parameters: 1. Efficiency & 2. Benefits to the Company.

7. Point No.2:- (New Internet Connection in HOJ)Done by Deepak Kumar and Manvi SharmaWe have successfully get feasibility done of VODAFONE, SIFY & AIRTEL for new Internet connections of 4MB. Acctually last few days back we have faced lot problems in Internet which is linked with BNGH. Presently we are using Internet & server connectivity through CANOPY. Basically Canopy is not better solutions because we are using canopy solutions from last 4 years. We have planned & also consult with differents parties & consultants they advised to change CANOPY with Fibre Optics. We have also get proposal from different parties for Fibre Optics. But now we have planned for new Internet Link which worked with without any downtime. • Feasibility Done: • Sify Technologies Ltd : 5 Mts • VODAFONE Ltd. : 3 Mts Parameters: 1. Efficiency & 2. Avoid future problems.

Point No.3:- Installations of HDD 1TB in Local Server:-Done by Mr. Opinder, Ankush Hans & Mr. Harvinder Pal We have successfully installed new Hard Disk Drive in Server Computer of DGM which was not working properly from last 1 month due to low space & limited users. For this we have increased space of HDD from 500GB to 1TB which is very useful for server. Also we have installed Windows Server 2003 SP2 in Server. After installations we was downloaded all data of stations from main server.Satisfaction Report of Users: Parameters: 1. Efficiency & 2. Avoid future problems

9. Point No.4:- (Installations of WEB Cam’s in Pune Region)Done by Mr. Dushyant KohliWe have successfully installed WEB Camera’s in Pune Regions. Last months PUNE stations are divided into different individuals branches. Also they will give individuals presentations in there own branches. As advised by SOT team for CRORES we have get installations of WEB Cam’s through SFO Nilesh. Following Stations where we have installed WEB CAM’s. 1. PNW 2. PNC 3. CKN 4. RN4 5. FRG Parameters: 1. Efficiency 2. Avoid future problems.

10. Point No.5:- (Upgradations of Old Computers) Done by Mr. Harvidner Singh & Mr. Opinder KrishenWe have successfully Upgraded Old Computers with Laptops. Because due this we have saved Elecricity, Space & other devices. We have get all these laptops with reasonable prices & saved the cost of the company. Following Users who have get new laptops.1. CashroomThrough these camera’s we can easily view the current activity of Server room & our staff. 12. Point No.7:- (LIVE CHAT option in RES & HBET)Done by Mr. Nitin Sharma We have taken new intiative for inserted Live Chat option in RES & HBET.
