What is Project Titan? For many years DIDD has struggled to upgrade its existing computer information systems. These systems are used to track: • Recipient Demographic Data, • Service Planning and Case Management Information, • Service Authorization and Billing Information, • Incident and Investigation Data Most of these systems were developed in an outdated software platform, known as FoxPro, and in many cases were meant to be short-term solutions that became permanent. Project Titan is an effort to replace DIDD’s current computer information systems with a single integrated solution.
Project Goals & Objectives In the initial phase of Project Titan, DIDD plans to achieve two main objectives: • Establish the necessary infrastructure and common framework needed to support a single integrated application system; and • Deploy the first modules of the new application, which will: • Establish an electronic Individual Support Plan (ISP) • Replace DIDD’s current financial applications (CS Tracking, Provider Claims Processing, and PTABS) • Replace DIDD’s Incident & Investigations system DIDD will be able to leverage this framework in the future to address changing business needs and to improve business processes.
What Does this Mean for Providers? • Not intended to replace existing provider systems • Ensure Interoperability • What Interactions will providers have with the system? • Electronic ISP’s • Billing • Incident Reporting
Microsoft Dynamics CRM Project Titan will be built using Microsoft’s Dynamics CRM solution. CRM: Customer Relationship Management • How is this relevant to Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Services? • This is a data-driven tool that emphasizes interactions with people, which closely aligns with DIDD’s adoption of Person Centered Practices. • Successfully implemented in New York’s Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and in Florida’s Agency for Persons with Disabilities. Allows for Rapid Application Deployment, based on a modular approach.
Project Status • Project Proposal Approved by IT-ABC in June 2012. • Purchase Order Issued for Software Licensing in June 2012. • Request for Proposal (RFP) Finalized and Implementation Services Contract Awarded on January 15th, 2013. • Requirements Documentation and Detailed Design Complete By Mid-Summer. • Service Planning Module to Be Completed by Late Fall. All Modules Complete By End of Fiscal Year 2014.
