Timeline – main tasks • The Agricultural Market Agency was set up in 1990 in order to fulfill state intervention policy in relation to: • Stabilizing agri and agri-food products market • Protecting incomes obtained from agriculture • ARR was also responsible for keeping and administering the state stocks of agri and agri-food products
ARR as a Paying Agency In April 2004, the Agricultural Market Agency was granted unconditional accreditation and since then fulfills the functions of a Paying Agency of the European Union.
Regional Branches • ARR has 16 Regional Branches. The territorial range of each Branch is equivalent to the range of the particular voivodeship. • The structure of Regional Branches is determined by Rules and Regulations laid down by the President of ARR.

Consumption support • Aid for consumption of milk and milk productsin educational establishments (School Milk Scheme) • Support for supply of fruit and vegetables, processed fruit & vegetables products to school children (School Fruit Scheme)
Management of quotas • Milk Production Quotas • Aid for producers in the framework of potato starch production quota • Monitoring of production and levies in the sugar sector • Administering of grape wine and wine production capacity
External trade • Purpose of the regulation of external trade in agricultural products: to stabilize the situation on the internal market and to monitor the quantities exported and imported • Selected measures of external trade administration: • Export and import licences (issuance and clearance) • Export refunds • Import levies • Import tariff quotas
Deliveries of food products for the most deprived persons As a result of the programmesimplemented in years 2004-2011726,2 thousands tonnes of food products were distributed among the most deprived persons in Poland (via chiarity organizations).
