  3. What? PalletTypeCode (codelist) 2.8 now maps to PlatformTypeCode (codelist) MjR

  6. Migration Issue 1 PalletTypeCode (GDS 2.8) PlatformTypeCode (GDS MjR) These are not pallet types… but packaging material type codes So: no direct mapping to MjR is possible (apart from “27” –Unspecified).

  8. The Real Migration Issue 1. User intervention is required User and Datapool should discuss: • Is there a real platformTypeCode the user wants to pass on apart from “27 – Unspecified”? • Is so, which one?

  9. Action Items for issue 1 1 Datapools must check whether the codes 1,2,4,5,7,8 are being used, and if so, check with their userbase to see whether a better, existing platformType is required. Datapools should report back to UG if these Codes are being used at all. 2

  10. Migration Issue 2: Deprecated values PalletTypeCode (GDS 2.8) PlatformTypeCode (GDS MjR) So: no direct mapping to MjR is possible (apart from “27” –Unspecified or “50” – Custom Platform).

  12. Action Items for issue 2 1 Datapools must check whether the codes 3,6,17,18,19 are being used, and if so, check with their userbase to see whether a better, existing platformType is required. Datapools should report back to UG if these Codes are being used at all. 2
