  2. Mental Disorder • An illness of the mind that can affect the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of a person, preventing him or her from leading a happy, healthful, and productive life.

  3. Anxiety Disorder • A condition in which real or imagined fears are difficult to control. -Phobias-Obsessive-compulsive Disorder-Panic Disorder-Post Traumatic Stress disorder-General Anxiety Disorder

  4. Impulse control Disorders • Can not resist the urge to hurt themselves or others. - Kleptomania-Cutting-Pyromania-Excessive Gambling-Compulsive Shopping

  5. Eating disorders • Extreme, harmful eating behaviors that can cause serious illness or even death.-Bulimia Nervosa-Anorexia Nervosa-Binge Eating Disorder

  6. Mood disorders • An illness that involves mood extremes that interfere with everyday living. -Depression-Bipolar

  7. Conduct disorder • Patterns of behavior in which the rights of others or basic social rules are violated. -Stealing-Cruelty-Lying-Aggression-Violence-Truancy-Arson-Vandalism

  8. Schizophrenia • Mental Disorder in which a person loses contact with reality.-Delusions, hallucinations, and thought disorders

  9. Personality Disorders • Unable to regulate their emptions.-Distressed in social situations and may behave in ways that are distressing to others.
