  1. Monggo A protein-rich food

  2. The Why Not? show of Abs-Cbn aired last June 11, 2011 about protein-filled foods highlighting the Monggo or Mung Bean.

  3. The said show invited Ms. Ma. Katrina A. Demetrio, a Nutritionist-Dietitian, to explain the benefits taken from the Monggo. They showcased videos of farmers planting Monggo, videos of families eating it, and gave and demonstrated ways to cook it.

  4. They simplified the concepts by using a native language and applied these concepts in real life by actually using real people eating the food.

  5. Obviously, the TV program talked about some nutritious food that contained protein called Monggo and the topic itself was what we like about it. Unanismously, we like that they use the kids (Nash Aguas and Kelly Nakanishi) to relay the message of the show because it will encourage the viewers, especially those kids like them, to eat Monggo, that it is healthy for them and all that. Also, we like it because it is very comprehensible and clear that even people who did not underwent education may understand what the show is trying to say. It is very positive, in addition, simply because they used colors pleasing to the eyes and the celebrities have smiles on their faces while doing their job that would mean that they enjoyed doing their work as well.

  6. Teachers make use of educational TV progams because many students are Visual Learners, that is, they learn more with what they see. That is why, televisions are often used as blackboards. Sometimes, having only a book in front of the student or even in front of the teacher don’t excite the day’s lecture. Because of this, teachers use TV programs to “spice things up” and to make students more interested in the lectures, and eventually learn.
