El Vocabulario Revision of the vocabulary needed for this unit Note that, in the first section, verbs are in the infinitive (how they are presented in the dictionary) i.e to clean, to prepare. Later, you will learn to conjugate them in the present tense (I wash, she cleans….) and in the past tense (I washed, she cleaned) to cook to make the bed to do the washing up

From the exercise (1A) and the listening to come, you will know how to conjugate verbs. So far, the vocabulary you have learnt used infinitives (to do…). It is easy to use infinitives after some expressions… Me gusta… No me gusta… Oido… Ayuda a Infinitives: Poner Limpiar Hacer* Have you noticed? In Spanish, verbs end in –AR, -IR or –ER. Look out for them! Attention: “Hacer” es irregular

Radical changing verbs • This will be indicated as such: fregar <ie>. Meaning that when you want to conjugate it, it should read like this Friego (I clean) Fregamos (we clean) Friegas (you clean) Fregais (you –plural- clean) Friega (s/he cleans) Friegan (they clean)
