  1. Ayudas en casa? Los quehaceres • Objectives • Name the various house chores • Talk about helping at home: say what you like to do (Me gusta), what you have to do (Tengo que) • Say what you do (present tense –I wash / Lavo) and how frequently (siempre - always) • Say what you did last week end

  3. El Vocabulario Revision of the vocabulary needed for this unit Note that, in the first section, verbs are in the infinitive (how they are presented in the dictionary) i.e to clean, to prepare. Later, you will learn to conjugate them in the present tense (I wash, she cleans….) and in the past tense (I washed, she cleaned) to cook to make the bed to do the washing up

  23. The present tense

  24. From the exercise (1A) and the listening to come, you will know how to conjugate verbs. So far, the vocabulary you have learnt used infinitives (to do…). It is easy to use infinitives after some expressions… Me gusta… No me gusta… Oido… Ayuda a Infinitives: Poner Limpiar Hacer* Have you noticed? In Spanish, verbs end in –AR, -IR or –ER. Look out for them! Attention: “Hacer” es irregular

  26. Ciudado • Some verbs are irregulars for the first person (Yo -I). Learn them off by heart. View them here. • Some verbs also have a letter change. Click here to learn more about these.   27. Radical changing verbs • This will be indicated as such: fregar <ie>. Meaning that when you want to conjugate it, it should read like this Friego (I clean) Fregamos (we clean) Friegas (you clean) Fregais (you –plural- clean) Friega (s/he cleans) Friegan (they clean)
