  2. Initial Setup Open the SDReader6 program from the shortcut placed on the desktop Click on Configuration in the menu bar to set the interface defaults

Initial Setup Open the SDReader6 program from the shortcut placed on the desktop Click on Configuration in the menu bar to set the interface defaults Select “Set UB Interface Defaults” from the dropdown menu This will bring up the Configuration Settings window Click the Select Download Path button and choose the download path from the list Next, click the Select Upload Path button and choose the upload path from the list

  6. Using SDReader6 Initial Setup Now that SDReader6 is set up and ready to go, click on the Route Folder button

Using SDReader6 Now that SDReader6 is set up and ready to go, click on the Route Folder button Select “Create New Route Folder” from the dropdown list Select the sdreader route folder from the window that appears SDReader6 is now ready to download the route to the reading device The Route Folder location, route file, read device, and device path can all be viewed at the bottom of the screen

  12. Using SDReader6 The Copy to Read Device Screen will appear Click on Copy to transfer the route file to the reading device After all the data is copied over, click on OK in the pop up box The reading device is now ready to collect meter data

Using SDReader6 After the meter data is collected, select Upload from the menu bar From the dropdown menu, select “Copy From Read Device.” The program communicates with the reading device and receives the name of the required files A sub-form will pop up prompting the user to copy the files Press the Copy button to copy the reads files The names of the files copied will show up in the text box when they are finished uploading Collect Meter Data

  15. Using SDReader6 To prepare the reads file to be imported to the billing system, click on Upload from the menu bar. Select “Build Host Upload File” from the list SDReader6 will build the file and then pop up a dialogue box telling the user that the process is complete The reads are now ready to be imported into the billing system Before this is done however, several reports are available for review

  16. Using SDReader6 To view a report, click on the Utilities option on the menu bar To view the collected reads, highlight View Reads from the dropdown To view the reads in Microsoft WordPad, select WordPad in the side menu
