  8. Lets learn multiplication of single digit numbers.

  9. Suppose we have to multiply 7 X 8 : We should take 10 as the base of our calculation because it is the nearest unity to the numbers to be multiplied.

  10. 7 8 X For Example (10) 3 - 2 - 6 5 3x2 7-2

  11. Now lets learn multiplication of 2 digit numbers.

  12. Suppose we have to multiply 97 X 98 : We should take 100 as the base of our calculation because it is the nearest unity to the numbers to be multiplied.

  13. 97 98 X Necessary to put zeros For Example (100) 03 - - 02 95 06 03-02 97-02

  14. Now lets learn multiplication of 3digit numbers.

  15. Suppose we have to multiply 997 X 998 : We should take 1000 as the base of our calculation because it is the nearest unity to the numbers to be multiplied.

  16. 997 998 X Necessary to put zeros For Example (1000) 003 - - 002 995 006 997-002 003x002

  17. Now lets learn multiplication above the base.

  18. Suppose we have to multiply 12 X 14 : We should take 10 as the base of our calculation because it is the nearest unity to the numbers to be multiplied.

  24. 3 DIGITS 9 11/3 REMAINDER QUOTIENT For Example ADD THE 1ST DIGIT FO THE QUOTIENT TO THE NEXT DIGIT OF THE DIVIDEND 12/5 BRING DOWN THE FIRST DIGIT BY ADDING 3+2 WE GET REMAINDER

  25. Now lets learn division by single digit divisor.

  26. Suppose we have to divide 111 by 8 : 111 will be divided into 2 parts by a diagonal stroke.

  27. 8 11/1 2 REMAINDER QUOTIENT For Example 2x1=2, 2x3=6 COMPLEMENT OF 8 2 6 /7 1 3 BRING DOWN THE FIRST DIGIT BY ADDING ROW 1+ROW 2 WE GET 3 BY ADDING ROW 1+ROW 2 WE GET REMAINDER

  28. Now lets learn division by double digit divisor.

  29. Suppose we have to divide 123 by 88 : 123 will be divided into 2 parts by a diagonal stroke. Now leaving 2 digits after the diagonal stroke since there are 2 digits in the divisor.
