  1. Clouds in Art! By Caroline & Carter In this power point you will learn about clouds--how they appear in art, learn how to draw cumulous and cumulonimbus clouds, and learn fun facts about some paintings the clouds are in. Plus, you will learn about the artists. Hope you enjoy!

  2. Clouds in Art! Toledo- EL Greco. This painting has dark, towering, cumulonimbus clouds. The reason they are dark and towering is that they are storm clouds. Altocumulus- Graeme Stephens. This painting shows altocumulus clouds. These clouds are just like cumulus clouds, but they have a greater altitude therefore they don’t look as puffy when they really are. The Field of Poppies- Claude Monet. This painting shows cumulus clouds that are low and puffy. Cumulus clouds are seen on bright sunny days. Wheat Field with Cypress Trees- Vincent van Gogh. This picture shows Stratocumulus clouds. These clouds are puffy like cumulus clouds, but are placed in the sky like stratus clouds.

  3. Fun Facts About Clouds in Art! The picture Field of Poppies is by French painter Claude Monet. This is made with the type of painting style called impressionism. Monet is a very famous impressionism artist. This artist is really famous but he only sold 1 or 2 paintings while he was alive. The picture Wheat Field with Cypress Trees is painted by Vincent van Gogh. He painted this in France the year of 1889 (one year before he died.) He had become influenced by impressionism artists and tried impressionism with this painting.

  4. How to Draw Clouds! Step 1: Get your paper and pencil. Step 2: Turn your pencil on it’s side and draw a straight line. P.S .You can always ask for help! Step 3: Draw 3-4 arches over your straight line. Step 4: In-between 2 arches draw ¼ of an arch like…

  5. How to Draw Clouds! Step 5: Draw the ¼ arches in-between every arch. Step 6: Name your cloud cumulus (if you want it to be a storm cloud shade it in gray.) YAY YOU DREW A CUMULUS OR CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD!!!
