What is APL in Holland? • Accreditation of Prior Learning: • Recognition of competences acquired in any context, formal, informal or non-formal • Accreditation of the competences • Added value by link to generally recognised standard (national qualification structure or sector qualification)

Employer Costs & benefits for companies: High costs for procedures: at least cost price No unit prices. Range is often between 600 en 1600 euros Legal arrangements: tax benefits (ca. 300 euros) Collective Labour Agreements: compensation for APL
