Technology Trends Globally, there are over 500 million 15 to 19 year olds and they spend $100 billion per year! • Apple Computer has sold 42 million Ipods with 14 million of those being sold during last Christmas • 80 million MySpace users and 270,000 more joining per day • 164 million cell phones were sold in the 2nd quarter of 2004 alone. Conservative estimates are that by 2008, more than 380 million camera phones will have been sold worldwide. • There will be an estimated 100,000 “hotspots” globally by the end of 2005. 34 percent of Americans chose the Internet as the most "cool and exciting" medium -- 1 percent less than television. The numbers were much higher among 12 to 34-year-olds, however: 46 percent voted the Internet as the "most essential" medium to their lives, while 29 percent picked TV.

Fashion • Heavy sexual orientation • French Connection United Kingdom • Placed perfume ads in Cosmo Girl and Teen People showing underwear clad couple with the tag line “Scent to Bed” • Bongo jeans • Ads in Seventeen and Teen People featuring model in a see-through fishnet halter • Buffalo jeans • Ads in teen publications show a model with spread legs, thigh-high stiletto heeled boots with pants unbuttoned exposing her underwear and her thumb tugging down the jeans
