  2. Key Areas for Development • Emergency Action Repository(earthquakes, hurricanes, first aid, monitoring, etc). • Business Information Systems (market & economic trends, organizational) • Support to small and emerging businesses • Public access to law libraries and legal procedures

  3. Promotion of DL R&D • Definition of Open Source Standards: Protocols, Technologies, Tools, Procedures, Formats, to promote library interoperability • Workshops, conferences, seminars, involving academic institutions, industry, service sector, and government. • Design a world-class National DL website • See DL as a didactic tool (calculator)

  4. Promotion of DL R&D • Dissemination of DL activities at the highest level, showcasing examples selected from competitions. • Have on-line info on DL national and international research funding opportunities (a la FEDIX) • Have pilot demo projects with measurable impact of DLs.

  5. Development of Human Resources • Virtual courses focusing on tools, how to create and use DLs • Workshops, conferences, seminars, targeting students. • Promotion of undergraduate and graduate DLs programs as minor track
