Some facts about women owned businesses • More growth focused - 87% aim for growth in next 2 years in Scotland (survey Oct 2012) • Balancing family NOT linked to lower growth aspirations - often the opposite as legacy and role modeling are motivators • Given the same resource, male and female owned businesses grow and perform equally well • Under-capitalisation an issue BUT women are more successful when applications are made for finance • Women are more likely to invest in training, innovate and use the web for their business.....opening global opportunities!
